MYTH

Using contraception when you’re young will mean that you can’t have children in the future.

Pregnant woman.

FACT

Unless you’ve chosen a permanent method of contraception, like a vasectomy, your contraception will only work for a specified period of time. This means that when you decide you’re ready to have a baby, you can stop using the contraception to regain your fertility. Your doctor will explain how your contraception works and how long it lasts.
